Amsterdamse Poort Building is a uniquely organic structure designed by architect firm Alberts and Van Huut. With pocket gardens and internal streams of water, the structure flows through shapes and materials meant to entice interaction, touch and even decay.

Within these mordern organic "castle-like" structures, the out-of-the-way rooms and spires needed an understated but consistent sign that fit with surrounding shapes and materials.
Signage for NMB Postbank (ING)
The challenge was to create a modular, metal signage system for the unique interiors of the Amsterdamse Poort building, headquarters for Holland’s largest bank, NMB Postbank Groep (now ING). The interiors of this space required an equally geometric solution while maintaining standardized components. This proposed, modular brass system creates a variety of shapes with minimal common elements to reduce costs and improve ongoing maintenance while retaining an elegant and tactile appeal.
